Time to stretch our legs and get outside at our favorite sculpture and botanical garden, Brookgreen Gardens, south of Myrtle Beach. After 3 long days of stressful driving we were desperate for a change of scenery. Not many flowers were in bloom but it was a nice day and great to see the greenery, old oak trees, and amazing bronzes. For my garden friends … there were spurts of fragrance from the camellia blooms and bright yellow narcissus popping up along the building walls. Missed the Nights of a Thousand Candles in December which must have been amazing. A future trip to consider.
For dinner we went with Uncle Mike and Aunt Deb to one of their favorite mexican restaurants the Nacho Hippo. Great fun, yummy food, and perfect margaritas!
